Special Education Inclusion
3rd-5th Grade
My name is Kristopher W. Wardlaw, and I am the language arts, reading, and math Inclusion teacher for Spring Hill Intermediate School. I am looking forward to a productive year working your child as we work towards the Individual Education Plan (IEP) objectives that will guide his or her specific learning needs.
For students on Campus this year our school district will using an inclusion model of meeting the needs of our students with special needs. An inclusion based model will have as many kids as possible in their least restrictive environments. My Staff will be traveling between teacher classrooms to help the students be success in the general education classrooms with accommodations and modifications to the regular curriculum. Research shows this model can be extremely effective with most students.
For students doing In-Home learning we will still follow an inclusion model but will accompany it with one-on-one Google Meet/Zoom sessions for individual tutoring and facilitation of accommodations.
